Obey. Observe. Follow. started with the 72 Hour Film Dash Competition in Tupelo, Mississippi. Director Russell Fox, veteran actor Todd Barnett, and first-time actress Nicole Calvert formed the Steamy Scene Surgeons, and the production was on. On Friday, we drew our 3 criteria: 1) a prop — rope, 2) a character — driver, and 3) a line of dialogue — “This is it”. That night was spent trying to zero-in on the story. Several pages of script were written by midnight, most of it dealing with the television reporting portion of the story, which was to be shot on Saturday. It involved the most people, and would take the longest. The warehouse scene would be shot on Sunday, and while some of the dialogue had been written, most of it would ad-lib.
